The staff at this location is truly what makes it special! Everyone is so friendly and helpful- it really feels like a home away from home now. The rooms are clean well maintained and very reasonably priced considering you get a full size fridge a stove top and kitchen sink in your accommodation. The kitchenette also came with considerable cabinet space. The on-site laundry is so convenient! You can either use traditional coin payment, or download an app that allows you to add funds to lay for your washing & drying. This was a much welcomed option as opposed to walking around finding a business to provide change. Thank you to ALL THE STAFF,from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance and managment - you all rock! Thanks for making my stay so pleasant! ~ Ashley M

TayYah along with housekeeping supervisor Tiffany as well kayla, Lindsey, Jamie and Mr Miles at the front desk definitely go above and beyond for every guest. Rooms have been recently remodeled and are up to date. The maintenance staff is efficient and always happens in a timely manner. The property is also well maintained constantly seeing staff members cleaning the parking lot sweeping the sidewalks. Housekeeping does a phenomenal job to ensure that the guests first impression when opening the door into the room is a great one! Congratulations to the management and the staff of this property for they've done an amazing job turning it around. If you haven't been here lately give it another try you won't be disappointed! ~ Dean R

I have been staying at the BirchHill Suites for about 5 weeks. I think it has been a great place to stay. While away for work or running errands i have left my belongings in the room and when i return everything was as i left it. The staff as well as other patrons have been tops when it came to respecting my privacy. The staff here are kind and easy to approach as well as quick to help in anyway they can. My room was clean and stocked the way i would expect an extended stay to be. There was a telephone in my room which i had to jse for a couple days. The property was safe and quiet pretty much all the time. Thank you BirchHill Suites for being a great place to stay especially when i needed it most! ~ Martha J

The management and staff deserve, and expect, respect, as we all should. I have not come across a better group of people than those I met while staying at Birch Hill for almost two months. The worst I ever received from them was just a simple, honest smile. That is something that people rarely do anymore, and I love them for that simple action. The room was clean, any issues I had were dealt with promptly, and, with a simple, HONEST, smile. Whether you're passing through town, or have fallen on hard times, as I did, please don't pass up the 'opportunity' to stay at Birch Hill. I met life long friends there, as I hope you will. Nicole here, making the Hotel stays circuit. I finally found a good one. Birch Hill in Independence has clean rooms, new cook top, new bathroom vanity and toilet, new headboard, dresser, nightstand and a great table with benches. Fresh paint with beautiful blue accent walls, very homey ! They also have washer and dryers, reasonably priced. Shopping, eating, and grocery only minutes away. Stay a night, a week, or even longer, the staff's gotcha! So, shout out to, GM Tay'yah and Tiffany, keeping it clean and Krista, always greets you with a smile! I've been staying here for about a month now thankyou to the Catholic charities VA . My wife and children stay here off and on here too , with no issues(kids go to school in Kansas and my wife is helping her grandma) the staff have been super cool here and very understanding, they also respect your privacy. They don't play though, respect their place, respect the other people here and you'll get respected back. Since I've been here the police have been here, but not in no negative way. They shut down any problem trying to escalate and go about their day. If you communicate your needs, the staff will listen. Thank you Birch Hill staff! -318 ~ Benjamin N

I love it. I came, and they allowed me to set a reservation and when I came back they had a room ready for me so fast and efficient I love that when i got here there was something wrong with the TV the manager fixed it within 5 mins without a problem on the TV there is a fire stick I love love that then when I got here the elevator most definitely works then the kitchen I love it stove microwave and a big fridge the doors have two good working locks on the doors the the air conditioner is good you get a closet and a dresser and it stores around the corner to places to eat and a grocery store they are also kid friendly so bring the kiddos ~ Big S

I been staying here for a couple of months and the staff is really cool ( most of the time) the rooms was clean no roaches like the other hotel I was going to stay at where they greeted me at the door. If you need maintenance work they try to handle it that day or the next day ( that's a plus). The GM always in good spirit!!!! She has really cleaned up here from what I heard before about here. Lots of people been here for a while so it's like family here as well. Come see for your self....... ~ Meka R

The Birch Hill suite has amazing staff there always responsive and have good to Go positive attitude. The staff is very welcoming and very understanding the fix problems immediately without delay. The area is very quiet and calm a very good environment to be in and everyone around is helpful the rooms don’t smell like smoke there’s no burn spots in the sheets and the kitchenettes are really nice the also have laundry and vending as well ~ Mia J

I always like to stay at the virtual Suites every time I'm in Independence. Their price is very reasonable and they have the best hotel staff I've seen in a long time. The kitchenette is a definite plus.. and I've noticed that they have cleaned up a lot of the bad characters that used to be around. Definitely think this is one of the top choices for hotel stays in the independence area. ~ LaTara B

I have been staying here for a few months now and this is by far the best extended stay. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Now for the staff, these ladies are hands down the kindest, caring and funniest around. I may never leave. The staff are amazing🤩 The general manager makes sure that everyone here feels safe. (she doesn’t play about us) Jami is a great manager, very professional. Tiffany has the best personality, I feel bad because I don’t know the maintenance man’s name but the side door in the refrigerator broke & 1 day later he brought a brand new one. This hotel has literally done a 360 for the good. When it was owned by the other company it wasn't good at all. Birch Hill took over they are getting all rooms in order, last company didn't care. But they have new owners and GM Tay'Hay. Her and her team are turning this hotel into something amazing. Keep up there great work. This hotel is truely changing for the good. Very friendly staff and General Manager Tay is very accommodating and personable. She goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy and taken care of... They did a really good job. On fixing the hot water for us. It took a little while, but they fixed it for us and they're gonna fix the door also, which has a gap and it, so it lets the wind do the door but it's nice and clean and there's no bugs or roaches here at all. And I greatly appreciate that too.Because I don't like bugs. ~ Maria N

The people are amazing, completely accommodating and caring have never given me and my husband any issues. We came from a toxic situation and they helped make our life better in the matter of hours to months of living here. The renovations are making it better every day. Birch Hill was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was cozy and clean and renovated. The staff helped me to my room when I asked due to a leg injury. I got great housekeeping once a week upon asking. Highly recommend. ~ Tessa J

All the staff was very friendly but the one staff member that stood out to me is Jamie she went above and beyond for the guest and the property she was always making sure the guest are happy and she walked the property to make everything was safe for the guest. ~ Leslie W
